Día 5 · Florencia González y su Candombe Project

Antes del atardecer nos acercamos hasta Pianos, un bar situado en el Lower East Side de Manhattan. Allí nos encontramos con Florencia González y su banda compuesta por instrumentistas estadounidenses, argentinos, venezolanos y uruguayos, los cuales llevan a cabo un emprendimiento musical titulado Candombe Proyect, una mezcla de ritmos rioplatenses con el estilo de las bigbands norteamericanas. Este fué el primer contacto de lo que esperemos se convierta en una de las bandas protagonistas de la película.

Day 5 · Florencia González and her Candombe Project

Before sunset we went to Pianos, a bar placed in Lower East Side of Manhattan. There we met with Florencia González and her band of American, Argentinian, Venezuelan and Uruguayan instrumentalists, which carry out this musical undertaking called Candombe Project, a mixture of Rioplatenses/River Plate rhythms with the American bigband style. This was the first contact of what we hope will become one of the leading bands in the film.
