Después de un par de días sin filmar, pudimos dedicarnos al trabajo de producción, ordenar archivos etc... El Miércoles, recuperados del ritmo de la gran manzana, fuimos en busca de Leo Suescún, presidente de la Comparsa Macú, que se encontraba en pleno ensayo con sus tamborileros, entre los cuales figuran Arturo Préndez, Ariel "Chino" Benatar o Fabricio "Cerro" entre otros. Nos sorprendió bastante encontrar un grupo de casi 20 candomberos tocando en el corazón de Elizabeth, New Jersey con el mismo corazón y sentimiento que si se encontraran en Isla de flores.
Day 8. Comparsa Macú
After a couple of days without shooting, we were able to dedicate our time to production work,to organize files,etc... Wednesday, regaining energies from the Big Apple´s rhythm, we went looking for Leo Suescún, President of the Comparsa Macú , in the middle of their rehearsal with its tamborileros, among whom appear Arturo Préndez, Ariel "Chino" Benatar or Fabricio "Cerro" ,among others. We were quite surprised to find a group of almost 20 candomberos playing in the heart of Elizabeth, New Jersey with the same heart and feeling as if they were in Isla de flores street.
